Brent Wilkinson (Chair)

Brent is the former chief executive officer of British hardware retailer Robert Dyas. He has held board positions at various other UK retailers, including Dixons, WH Smith, Wyevale Garden Centres and Kingfisher Group. For seven years, he also served as chief executive of electrical retail chain Comet Group. Brent graduated in 1972 with a degree in Geography from the University of Sheffield, UK. He is married with two grown-up children (both geography graduates). His whole family shares a passion for the environment.

Eric has a background in electrical engineering and was involved in several hi-tech projects, including the design of Eurostar traction electronics. In 1995, he decided to
 dedicate his career to the family business, Botanic. As CEO of Botanic he has managed the company’s growth, and the ecodesign of stores. With 60 shops located all over France, Botanic is a major player in the garden centre industry and is still the only company to have abandoned 
the sale of artificial pesticides. 
As a grower’s son and an engineer, Eric likes to think of himself as a nature-rooted dreamer – technique and nature are not to be opposed 
but to be reconciliated.

Andrew Hewitt

Andrew Hewitt

Andrew is director of finance at the University of Dundee and is a chartered accountant. Andrew has spent most of his career in the retail industry, having worked at Kingfisher Group for 17 years, where he served as director of global sourcing and managing director of its sourcing office in Hong Kong. He is also the chair of governors at Richard Hale School in Hertford, as well as a trustee of Future Leaders, a leadership development programme for teachers.

Saskia Luutsche Ozinga

Saskia Luutsche Ozinga

Saskia is an environmental and social activist. She is the facilitator of the Forest Movement Europe (FME) and the co-founder of the NGO FERN, of which she is currently the campaigns coordinator. She holds Masters degrees in Biology and Healthcare from the University of Utrecht, Netherlands. After working as a teacher for environmental sciences at the University in Utrecht, Saskia joined Friends of the Earth. In 1991, Saskia took on the role of facilitator of the newly created Forest Movement Europe (FME), a role that she still holds.

In March 1995 Saskia co-founded, together with Sian Pettman, the organisation FERN with a mandate to monitor EU activities in relation to forests, inform and educate the Forest Movement Europe about these activities and facilitate joint advocacy work towards the different EU institutions. At present she is also a board member of Forest Peoples Programme, Stichting Tropenbos International and Taiga Rescue Network, and a member of the steering committee of the World Rainforest Movement.

David Roth

David Roth

David is chief executive EMEA and Asia at The Store, a retail arm of communications services group WPP. Prior to this, David served on the Board of Directors at B&Q, a British retailer and unit of Kingfisher Group, and advertising company Bates Dorland. David began his career as member of the UK Parliament and is the author of the ‘Retailing in a Recession’ playbook series and the host of online retail program ‘The Store TV’. He has also established his own strategy consultancy firm.

Michel Troussier

Michel Troussier

Michel is a management consultant and chartered accountant. He previously owned and managed an accounting and audit company of 150 staff, before selling it in 2001. In addition to his position on TFT’s Board, he is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of a school. Michel is married with three children and lives near Geneva.
